Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a founding member of Women’s Health of Central Massachusetts, Dr. Fischer has been practicing in Central Massachusetts for nearly 20 years. He is a member of several professional societies, including the Massachusetts Medical Society, the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists, and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.

With a special interest in medical ethics, Dr. Fischer has served nearly ten years on the Institutional Ethics Committee at UMass Memorial and currently serves on the Human Subjects in Research Committee at the College of the Holy Cross.

In addition to his ongoing interest in obstetrics and gynecology, he has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopy and treatment of chronic pain, vulvodynia (vulvar pain syndrome) and endometriosis.
